Itz Black Theatre Magazine Interview with Broadway’s Childstar Douglas Baldeo and Mom @ 42nd Annual Audelco Awards Night



Douglas Baldeo, 9, is thrilled to be making his Broadway debut and is current working on a film. Douglas has won many dance competitions, and has been a solo/featured dancer at several events.

AUDELCO (Audience Development Committee, Inc.) Established and incorporated in 1973 by the late Vivian Robinson, to stimulate interest in, and support of performing arts in black communities.  AUDELCO coordinates an average of one to two theatre events monthly, bringing approximately 50-75 people to each event.

Networking Contacting and developing relationships with individuals, local groups, churches, and other organizations to introduce new audiences to non-profit performing arts.

AUDELCO Recognition AwardsThe annual Vivian Robinson/AUDELCO Recognition, “The VIV”Awards are the only formally established awards presented to the black theatre community.  Doug  thanked God, mother/family, Cowboy Eddie/ESOTA, DMPA, Carson/Kolker, Divine Management/Telsey. Douglas and Mom also thanked Mayor Ernie Davis of the City of Mount Vernon, NY. for continued support and arts programming where they reside.
